Kid-Friendly Activity Idea: Fun with Cupcake Decorating

If you’re running out of ideas to keep your kids entertained, here’s a fun and easy activity you can do with your kids. It’s easy because we used a prepacked special mamon but if you have the time and are willing to go the extra, by all means bake your own cupcake.

Materials used:
Special Mamon
Sprinkles
Marshmallows
Berry Knots
Icing

Icing ingredients
Icing sugar
Butter
Milk or Water
Food Coloring

For the icing, I got the ingredients from this easy icing recipe.

All of the materials we used, except the Knots, were provided by my daughter’s play school so it was really easy for us. Making the icing is probably the only part where you’ll need to exert effort, aside from cleaning that is. Luckily for us, it was already prepared so all I had to do was take photos and clean up the mess. The mess was minimal though, I just had to pick up some sprinkles that dropped on the floor.

My daughter looked like she had fun decorating the cupcake. She kept giggling and calling the icing an ice cream. With the way she was decorating it, it definitely did look like ice cream. 

She really made sure that the sprinkles were on top of the icing, she topped each sprinkle one by one just to make sure none would fall off again.

She decided to use all the marshmallows and use just one Knots. Afterwards, she started snacking on the remaining Knots.
